Hurt's SEC Power Poll: Week 6

TideSports.com There was a full moon last Saturday and nearly everyone in the Southeastern Conference played that way, not by turning into werewolves but by acting just slightly out of sorts. None of the teams at the top put together a complete game except for Texas A&M, with the huge asterisk of "they did it against Arkansas." Alabama railed Ole Miss for 15 seconds. South Carolina trailed Kentucky at the half. LSU let Towson hang around for an entire game, which is longer than most people want to hang around Baton Rouge under any circumstances. But every one of those teams managed to win so there wasn't much movement, a fact that is likely to change as Shakeup Saturday arrives with the coming of October.
