Is Coleman Set on Playing Receiver?
Coming off a spring that saw their defensive secondary excel taking strides in an utmost positive direction Oklahoma defensive back coach Willie Martinez and defensive coordinator Brent Venables began their spring evaluation of talent with 2012 offers in their back pockets looking to build depth for the future.
Returning to the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex Oklahoma four an answer to their own search for more speed in way of Richardson (Texas) Pearce athlete Corey Coleman who reasserted himself with impressive speed earlier this month at the TCU Nike Camp in Fort Worth.
"Yeah Oklahoma offered me (Wednesday)," Coleman, who already holds offers from Baylor, Oklahoma State, West Virginia and Virginia, said.
"Coach Venables told my coaches to tell me to give them a call so I called them. And they offered. I was really psyched. I liked it. They want me to play defensive back for them," he explained.
