7:00 games are tough, for fans and players. The Beavers sat around the hotel all day and came out looking a bit lackadaisical
and admittedly, I felt the same way. Heading into the game I couldn't see how the Beavers were one-point underdogs to the Huskies. I thought the Beavers would waltz into Husky Stadium and handle both sides of the line of scrimmage. And early on, it looked like the Beavers thought that too.
The Beavers managed two first quarter first downs and their first three possessions ended in a punt, an interception, and a punt. While they came back to life and did an outstanding job of erasing a 21 point deficit, they looked out of sync much of the night.
Kudos to Jacquizz Rodgers, who had a marvelous game with 140 yards rushing and 49 yards receiving. Quizz tacked on four touchdowns for the Beavers in the double OT loss. <
