Fresno State middle four games should be wins
Thebulldogreport.com previewed the first four games of the Bulldogs season, today we will continue looking ahead and preview the next four games of the season.
October 9th,2010-Hawaii- This should be another game that the Bulldogs should handle fairly well as the Warriors have not been the same offensively since June Jones left two years ago. Fresno State went down to Hawaii last season and beat the Warriors 42-17 in a game that was not even that close. In the game Ryan Mathews had 149 yards and one touchdown. Fresno State led 42-3 after three quarters of the game. This year look for Ryan Colburn to have a great game against a Hawaii defense who is not the best and for Robbie Rouse and Tracy Slocum to take over where Mathews left off. Plus this game is in Fresno and the Bulldog fans will give Hawaii a hard time. If Fresno State can control Greg Salas and limit the passing yards of Greg Alexander the Bulldogs should have no problem with the Warriors. Prediction: Bulldogs 42-14
October 16th 2010-New Mexico State- For the third week in a row the Bulldogs play a home game at Bulldog Stadium. This time the Bulldogs host the Aggies of New Mexico State who consistently are one of the worst teams in the nation. Offensively the Aggies were the worst in the nation in scoring last season averaging just 11 points per game. They also ranked 118th out of 120 teams in passing yards with just 87 yards a game. There defense was 101st in the nation last season. If Fresno State shows up with its A game, the Bulldogs will have no trouble getting by the Aggies who are in bad shape all around. Last season Fresno State won 34-3 in New Mexico. Prediction: Bulldogs 49-7
October 23rd,2010- @San Jose State- When the Bulldogs return to the road after three straight home games, they will travel to San Jose to take on a Spartan team that is also one of the worst in the nation. Fresno State dominated the Spartans rushing the ball over 300 yards rushing. San Jose jumped out to a 14 7 lead in the first quarter at Bulldog stadium last season before the Bulldogs scored 34 un-awansered point to put the game away. The Spartans ranked among the nation's worst in Points allowed allowing 34 points per game which was 106th in the nation, 110th in points scored with 13 points a game, and 117th in rushing yards with 76 yards a game. With Colburn having another year of experience, Rouse showing signs of greatness, and the Bulldogs defense having a lot of returners the the Bulldogs will once again prevail. Last season the Bulldogs won 41-21. Prediction: Bulldogs 42-14
November 6th,2010-@Louisiana Tech- This is always a trap game for Fresno State. Fresno State escaped with a 30-28 win last season at Bulldog stadium with a last second field goal by Kevin Goessling as time expired. Fresno State will have to control Louisiana Techs Offense and make sure to take the lead early against a team that is always hard for Fresno State to play behind against. Ryan Colburn will have to be crisp and make few mistakes and the running game will have to be key as Robbie Rouse led the dogs with 75 yards in last season's game. Fresno State's defense will also have to make big stops against a very physical offense La Teach Quarter back Ross Jenkins had four touchdown passes last season and running back Daniel Porter had 148 yards on the ground. Overall this game could be a trap game for Fresno State. Prediction: Fresno State 21-20
